1st Married couple Valentines day

We had a very special sea themed valentines. it was simply spectacular.

First we went to watch Song of the Sea. Beautiful animation, but a bit dark and the theme was a bit mature. Definitely not for kids.
Main plot focuses on a little girl named Saoirse, and her big brother Ben, and a Celtic legend of Selkies. Which is a kind of mermaid. SURPRIIIISE!

The Selkies are basically mermaids with seal suits. They take off the seal suits to lounge on land, and then slip the coats back on to return to the sea. If a human finds the coat, the selkie must stay with the human until she gets the coat back and then she can return to the sea. That's the back story. The actual plot revolves around a girl who discovers her she's a selkie, and ... from there you'll have to watch what happens. It's such a beautiful film. This is a new level of artistry.

Then we made our way to Leon's. we saw Pocahontas was JUST starting to play on their tv screens and we decided to stay and watch. the leon's sales rep actually extended an open invite to stay and watch. it was steven's first time watching to i had added commentary so he understood the basis of the songs, the plot, underlying themes, stuff like that. but then he fell asleep :|

Then we headed for dinner downtown and dined with the fishies. Standard 3 course meal, with white wine. There were a lot of couples that went. there was a little kids area and because it was just us "grown adults," i decided to go in and crawl though the tunnels and into the little playpens. steven joined me... and i guess i started SOMETHING because then ALL THE OLDER PEOPLE JOINED IN ON OUR SHENANIGANS! i allowed everyone to tap into their inner children. best moment of my life. Quite fun :)

First World Wife Problems.

Finally, The hubby and I came to a consensus and decided we were going to celebrate our 9 year anniversary of being together up until the 10th year so we can say "we've been together for a decade!"
Then we'll just celebrate wedding anniversaries in July.
Which means this year we're also celebrating our wedding anniversary. This to me seems very wierd because "wtf steven we've been celebrating in February. it's like the coldest time of the year and so depressing. there's not gonna be a reason to celebrate anymore" and at the same time it's like "aweyiss an excuse to leave and go to disneylands far and wide."

I had a random thought in the washroom this morning... "what if we had a housewarming party and everyone suddenly brought be things i didn't like or wouldnt fit with the look of the house? i'm gonna constantly throw shade at their stuff..." I am so picky with my things you have no idea. Not that i won't graciously accept them and be thankful, but in the back of my head i'll be thinking "this doesn't match the dining table..." first world problems, ya know? but then i decided.. well why not post up a list of what i want? Then if anyone ever wants to buy me something i can give them something to look at.

1) Cleaning Supplies
Greenworks ...I love this stuff. Or anything biodegradable or vegan is fine by me because chances are when I'm cleaning the tub/showers/sinks/toilets, the products are gonna go right into the sewage system or back into the ocean... Hand soaps I would avoid buying from Greenworks because i already use Arbonne. By all means, please load up my home with this stuff. I will embrace them with open arms. Hand soaps I would avoid buying from Greenworks because i already use Arbonne
- I only use blue Windex to clean glass because it doesn't go down the sink. Please also buy me Windex. If you buy me anything else outside this I am going to judge you.
- Bounty. I only use Bounty when cleaning mirrors and counter tops. This kind, please.

2) Laundry cleaning supplies. I love our earth, but I really hate smelling like shit even more. Smelling like shit versus Animal testing. Wtf guys... wtf. why y'all gotta make me choose? the struggle is real...
- Bounce Dryer Sheets please. These kinds.

(Pause. Judging from what i have written so far, you can already tell that i am a fucking clean freak. Continue scrolling.)

3) Silverware is the only thing I'm not picky about. Don't buy me plates or cups i already have sets. Bitches, i love my dinglehoppers, ok? Forks are the only thing i use to eat. noodles, rice, pastas... the only thing i wouldn't want is a knives set. those things make me uncomfortable. just get me a pair of kitchen scissors and butter knives.

4) In regards to decor, avoid plushies, artwork to hang up, disney... DUN DO IT. I have too many! I have a systematic place for everything and everything i buy will have it's place o-o but if you insist, tiny glass bottles and driftwood or seashell home decor, I'M DOWN FOR. Home sense/Winners has a bunch of awesome stuff. OOO and lanterns from IKEA. I LOVE ME SOME LANTERNS.

5) Towels. Body towels, face towels, hair towels... and wash cloths. Would love me some washcloths.

7) Rechargeable batteries. Those things are dope. And an emergency kit. and label makers. I don't care what kind, it's free game form here.

8) POO-POURI. THE BEFORE-YOU-GO TOILET SPRAY. I SHIT YOU NOT THIS THING WORKS. you can find it at your local COLES/INDIGO/CHAPTERS bookstores.

When typing up this list I suddenly remembered... how i am going to get rid of the hazardous household waste (HHW). I already have a basic diagram of how i'm gonna be dealing with waste from our house.

(Blue bin Plastics) (Blue bin Metals) (Blue Bin Glass)
(green bin - Bio degradables, compost, and papers also go in here)
(Leaf and Yard waste)
(Black Garbage - for items too big to fit into anything)

Where am i gonna put the HHW? I'm not gonna dump it down the sink... So off i went to look for places where they would accept paint, solvents, single use batteries and other shit. Using my awesome librarian searching skills, i found this:

"WHAT IS ORANGE DROP?"

"The Orange Drop Program is a free, safe, easy way to dispose of household products that require special handling. Fully funded by industry, this network of collection sites accepts nine materials."

You would click on the icon of what wastes you want to get rid of and enter your postal code. then it'll give you a list of places and the locations where you could dump your waste. SO AWESOME. Totally using this.

NOW I'm gonna have a huge orange section with a skull on it for HHW.

I have never been this happy or excited to throw out and organize garbage wtf...
THIS IS ANDREA BEING A WIFE. :| i am not sure how to feel.
